Today, the Baku Grave Crimes Court, under judge Mahmud Agalarov, held a preliminary hearing on the case of human rights activist Bakhtiyar Mammadov, the director of Trustful Law LLC.

The Supreme Court, under judge Gulzar Rzayeva, has denied the cassation appeal by human rights activist Vidadi Isgandarlov against November 2nd decision by Shaki Appeals Court.

The Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety (IRFS) strongly
condemns the confiscation of the journalistic equipments of IRFS
reporters to Nakhchivan, Hakimeldostu Mehdiyev and Elman Abbasov, who
were carrying out their journalistic work at Sadarak Customs
Checkpoint.
