A letter of order has been sent to imprisoned Editor-in-chief of “Gundelik Azerbaijan” and “Realniy Azerbaijan” Newspapers Eynulla Fatullayev house by the Yasamal District Court regarding the payment of 819 AZN 10 gepiks to “Azercell Telecom” LTD Union Institution.

The Institute for Reporters` Freedom and Safety was told this by Eynulla Fatullayev`s father Emin Fatullayev.
On 12 September they received the letter that was signed by Yasamal District Court Judge Ragib Gurbanov demanding that Eynulla Fatullayev should pay 819 AZN 10 gepiks to “Azercell Telecom” LTD, said Emin Fatullayev.
Emin Fatullayev told IRFS that it is an absurd decision to demand for the debt of the telephone number now which was used by Eynulla Fatullayev when he was in freedom.
Gundelik Azerbaijan" and "Realny Azerbaijan" newspapers' editor-in-chief Eynulla Fatullayev was sentenced to 2.5 years of imprisonment on 21 April 2007 for insulting honor and dignity.  Later he was convicted under articles 214.1 (threatening terror), 283.2.2 (incitement of ethnic/national, social or religious hatred abusing authority), and 213.2.2 (tax evasion) of the Criminal Code and was sentenced to 8.5 years of imprisonment on 30 October 2007.
